Welcome to Mazikeen, a gritty urban fantasy. There exists in our world the descendants of intermixing between human and supernatural races. Hundreds of years later, the supernatural blood comes to the surface, producing throw-back babies called Remnants who inherit both physical traits and supernatural abilities of their ancestors. But the gift is a double-edged sword and in no place is this more apparent than here in Los Duendes, California. Downtown Los Duendes is a hopping place. Clubs, restaurants, chain stories and one-of-a-kind boutiques, this city has it all. There's even a casino, courtesy of a land grant to the local Sierra Miwok native americans.

Night Life
Like any good college town, there's plenty to do at night in Los Duendes. There are plenty of bars, clubs, and a hopping music scenes means at least 3 shows happening on any given night.

Los Duendes University
A private university found in the heart of the town, LDU features an expansive library that's open the the public, generous scholarship programs and is one of the biggest employers in the city for both humans and Remnants. Their colors are red and white. Their mascot is the fighting dwarf.

River
The nameless river provides a welcome relief in the hot summer. Too narrow for much commercial use, the river mainly boasts personal boats for fishing and relaxing on the waters. During the summer, university students will float down the river on inner tubes (accompanied by plenty of beer, of course)
